Blair Castle
Part of the gardens.
Another view. Very hard to get a good view of even a part of it.
The cottage we rented up near Dingwall. Kilearn Cottage. It was on the Firth of Cromarty.

The Cathedral in Fortrose. We had gone their, Fortrose, to see dolphins. However, nobody told them how far we had traveled to see them so, they never showed up! My girlfriend was NOT a happy camper about this.
This monument was up on the hill not far from our cottage. It was suppose to be the "Gateway to India"??? The Hills name was Fyrish,I think.
How far up the "hill" we hiked.
This is later in the trip. We stop off for a night in Criff. My girlfriends art teacher she had in highschool is from here. This is up on Knock Hill.
This is outside Edinburgh. Crammond Island. There is a causeway to the island you use only at low tide.

Fyrish Monument
Sir Hector Munro of Novar Estate, one of the great improving landowners of the late 18th century, ordered the building of this folly around the end of the century to provide work for his impoverished tenants. It is supposed to be a copy of the gates of the Indian city of Negapatam, the scene of one of Munro's military victories. The site offers a stunning view over the Cromarty Firth.

The island had a few WW2 buildings on it.
I took over 500 photos in 12 days. This is just a few.
Cheers, Leslie
