One for Jock Scot
I spent the day at the San Francisco Zoo walking about with my family and some friends while observing the animals. I brought along my new simple crook and took a bit of advice from Jock Scot.

A crook (even an Americanized one such as this) is indeed a nice thing to lean on while watching the world go by.

That is a great shot Jamie, it looks very natural were you eyeing the sheep?

In the farmyard/petting zoo there was one sheep that seemed very distressed at the crook and bolted whenever I got near.
The goats however liked me just fine, they kept coming up to the crook and using it to scratch/rub the spot between their horns.

Oh well, sheep are really really stupid and goats are cool!
Cheers

Did the goats try to nibble on your kilt? Whenever I've been around goats while wearing a jacket tied around my waist, one of them invariably tries to make it their dinner.

I need one of those... The crook that is. Although, I could use a goat too... But they changed the zoning codes and we can't have goats and chickens and so on anymore.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Nice crook Jamie. Did you know they are also good for wrangling children and the occasional bad vaudeville act?

Goats and sheep are both great, but goats do tend to have MUCH more personality!
Panache, as usual, you look very sharp. Great pictures!

Very nice photos. I would chance to say almost the perfect day outfit..
Though, with all the mention of sheep ad goats I am reminded of a song by the band Cake.. "Sheep go to heaven/Goats go to ..(take a guess at the following lyric) I have no idea why.. I have always found goats very personable!

oh there was also a great bit about goats that Adam Sandler had on a comedy CD..
