Need to Borrow a Dress Sporran...

    Hey guys,

I'm apart of the Spirit organization here at Clemson called Central Spirit, and we have our fall banquet in about 3 weeks. I've been elected secretary for next semester, and I want to make it official by wearing my kilt to the banquet, but I don't have a good sporran. All I have is my cheap leather sporran, so I was wondering if anyone in my area of the upstate of SC might be able to loan me a sporran for the night. I promise to take great care of it and I offer collateral just in case you don't trust me. But if anyone can help just let me know! Thank you!

    -Chris

I can see the bind you are in, but you can afford a decent "formal" sporran. Check out these links:
    Black Fur Dress Sporran
    Brown Fur Dress Sporran
    Gray Fur Dress Sporran
    White Fur Dress Sporran

I bought a white one from somewhere with comparable prices that Stillwater has. I've worn it once just to wear it, and it probably won't be worn until Christmas time. But it is nice to have in case something formal does arise. Oh, and 3 weeks? Psh....Stillwater would have it to you in less than 3 days. ;)

I could fedex you one of my collection

However, if you can afford an inexpensie sporran and receive it in the time frame you mention, you are much better off doing that.

You can find good inexpensive sporrans as galb pointed out. The main difference is going to be in the quality of the cantle and the fur used. Rabbit with a pewter cantle will go for less than silver fox with a silver cantle. It will be servicable enough for you as well.

So, go with one of the less expensive sporrans and start saving up if you want that L&M custom sporran.
