Your Favorite Kilt Pin
I'd like to humbly propose a thread on your favorite kilt pin. Perhaps with a picture and a link to where you purchased it?
I'm asking because I'm at a loss to decide on the perfect kilt pin for my new Kathy Lare Clarke (patiently jonesing - if that's possible). Thanks and looking forward to seeing the cool pins.

My favorite kilt pin is/was a small, silver penannular, about 1-1/2 inches in diameter, thatr I found on eBay a few years ago. It's not the typical claymore, etc. that you normally see as a kilt pin, so I like it for that. The only thing is I can't seem to find it. I usually leave it on the kilt I reserve for formal wear, but it's not there for me to show off, unfortunately.

Here's mine again, a silver feather to honor my Native heritage as well as my Scottish.

Modern Navaho, I see these for sale occasionally online.

My favorite is a gold plated fern frond about 2 1/2" long. It my clans plant badge and goes well with the primarily brown and green hunting tartan.

That's not my photo, but the pin is the same. I like the old style pins because they were simple, traditional, and my first one was given to me by my mom. It was part of her school uniform (yes, for her skirt) so it means something to me.
I have about 4 that I keep on different kilts.

Mine's the same, a sterling silver blanket pin with a 1914 Inverness hallmark. BTW-- Either your pin, or the photo, is upside down. Worn the way shown, if the pin snapped open, it would slip out and fall to the ground.
I also have a grouse foot kilt pin, again with an Inverness hallmark but dated 1912, that I sometimes wear to formal dinners and the like.

I think it looks better right side up so that's how I wear mine. Not much chance of it snapping open unless one is engaged in hand to hand combat.

Like I said, it's not my photo. But I do wear mine correctly, so it doesn't fall off -- though those pins are so strong, I don't think they ever come undone unless you want them to!

My current favorite with a t-shirt of the same background, I made this pin with a button and piece of ebony.
