Kilted Skiing in.....Scotland!
I just noticed an item in yesterday's American edition of the Metro newspaper, which is printed in both Europe and North America.
Their travel section focuses on exotic ski locales. They list one resort in Scotland among them. The only photo accompanying the article shows two men in kilts who are carrying snowboards. The caption reads, "Aye, laddie! There be men wearin' kilts on the mountains of Scotland!"
Just found a way to link to this photo.

Sounds like a great photo. Kilts are showing up in more places now.

I have seen a kilted skier on the Cairngorm Mountains above Aviemore.

As a Scotsman who grew up in the Highlands of Scotland, I would think you would need thermal underwear under your kilt before attempting to ski in a kilt on any Scottish mountain.
But a great photo , thanks for sharing.
kind Regards,
David.

With my skiing record (only once in Norway) and the number of times I ended up *** over tip it might be one of those rare exceptions when underwear could be justified!

Love kilts, love skiing but not together for me! Well, except in the Spring.

I love skiing, I love kilts. I'm going to try it the next time on Mt. Bachelor in the late winter/spring time.

Glad the post was of interest to some. I'm just surprised that Ozone didn't pipe in, since his avatar is a photo of him skiing in a kilt!
