Talking Accessories for Scots with Skinny Legs

After appearing kilted on Sunday, someone brought me this BBC article that she had seen.

I think it's a riot and others will appreciate it:

On second thought, maybe I could use them!

You know, someone (a lovely female friend actually) mentioned the other day that kilt hose really accentuate the calves nicely. I've been a runner and mountain biker since high school, so my legs are pretty toned. I never really thought about it too much till she said something. Yet another PLUS for kilts and kilt hose!

Thanks for the "skinny" on the implants. Personally, I don't think this idea has a "leg" to stand on.

Nothing particularly new. Back in the 17th and 18th centuries, when men wore breeches and hose, "implants" of wool, tow or even wood were quite popular so that a thin-shanked man could put a "good leg" forward.

I seem to remember that ad from an earlier post/thread. Haven't been able to find it though.
