D/FW (J Gilligan's/Arlington) Texas Kilt Night
Sorry I'm so late posting these.... with the holiday and other plans, we've been busy
I didn't get a ton of photos because I was a little too frazzled to really think about it. We finally got this thing planned out at the last minute, and it was the night before Thanksgiving. I'm sure because of that and rushing to Arlington after work, that's why a lot of people weren't wearing a kilt. I am not very familiar with Arlington or the Mid-Cities area, so I couldn't think of any pubs in the area. They usually hold a session here on Tuesday nights (this was Wednesday night), so I at least knew about this place and knew we could find enough space and get a drink or two and a little food.
Onto the photos! This was actually the last photo taken, and I didn't think of it until we were almost about to walk out. I hadn't originally planned on being in the photo and unfortunately RowdyRed had already left I hope next time I'm better about taking photos (plus, our camera has been acting weird lately).
From left to right: Me, TheDev, Ronusan, and Christo13.

Christo13, Ronusan and Ronusan's lovely girlfriend Kel.

Christo13, Todd (I believe was his name, is that right Lambda?), Lambda, and Ronusan.

Christo13, Todd, Lambda, Ronusan, Kel, Scrapscot and the waitress (standing behind Scrapscot).

Discussing bagpipes, I believe. I didn't get to chat with these three very much (like I said, I was a bit frazzled and out of it ). Lambda didn't bring his bagpipes this time.

RowdyRed, Don (I hope I remembered his name correctly, Rowdy), and mkmound.

Discussing tartans and kilts, I'm sure.

I think Christopher likes my new boots

Bein' silly! It was great to see Rowdy again

Like I said, I was really bad about getting photos of everyone (and there were more, but these were the ones Christopher grabbed to host for me). Sorry about the boring captions, but there really wasn't tons to tell. We'd love to have more kilt nights after the holidays. Thanks to Rowdy for grabbing the camera to take some of these since I was too busy drinking my Guinness and just being happy people got the updates that we'd decided on a location and date

Looks like a good time. Tough to pull off the day before Thanksgiving, however, judging by the turn out, it went well.

It sounds like a wonderful evening, last minute or not.
It is also very good to see mkmound! The NorCal Rabble had the pleasure of meeting Mark a couple of years ago (a very nice gentleman).
Cheers

Thanks everyone! Yes, we had a great turnout, considering the circumstances. We had 13 people total, with (I think -- I'm not positive on one or two) 9 being members of the board.
Looking forward to the next time!

OK, now I know for certain I'm packing a kilt next time I visit the big state.
