    Celtic Thunder 12-12

My wife and I headed up to Denver after work on Friday to see Celtic Thunder. I wore my Livingston kilt with black hose and black shirt, nothing fancy. We both enjoyed the music and can see what people have been saying about them possibly being burned out on this tour, but we both thought they were very good. Saw a total of 11 kilts besides mine, the 5 musicians, the 5 members of the group and one other guy in the audiance. Too bad I didn't see him till we were outside while he was inside. Sure wasn't going back in to say hi at that time. Not sure of the tartan and he was wearing a PC. Only comments were from the woman sitting next to my wife. She and her husband talked with us about the kilts for a while during the intermission. She really wanted to see me step over the seats from the row below. Told her she'd be better off sitting in the row behind me if I did. But I didn't.

That's awesome. I'd love to see these guys. Don't know when that'll happen, though. Glad the show was good, and it's always exciting to see someone else kilted as well.

I had never heard of them, I received tickets as a gift.
Think boy band, singing Celtic classics mixed with cover songs from famous Irish bands like the Eagles, Foreigner, The Police and a couple of 50's era 'doo wops'.

The beginning was 'thunderous', then the show proceeded with solo after solo, interspersed with a couple of fast paced numbers.

The audience was mostly women, and the boys played it up, for the women.

The kilts worn by the band were cool looking, but one of the guitar players either was wearing it too low, or had it tailored too long.

In the end the boy band came out in their kilts, swinging in circles in order to raise the kilts to a level to titillate the ladies-they loved it, I laughed.

It was an entertaining couple of hours, but it got redundant real quick.

I too have only seen them on the screen but would enjoy a live performance
    much more excitment that way.

well done on the kilt issue, as far as stepping over the seat, I think not for me!

Glad you got to enjoy the concert with the wife!

My wife and I went to see them Oct of last year in Grand Rapids,MI. I did not see anyone else wearing a kilt besides the band and myself. Enjoyed the show though. Not a lot of special effects, the focus was on the music, refreshing!
