After the ballet
I just got back from seeing The Nutcracker at Bass Hall in Fort Worth. I'm currently enjoying a nice pint of Guinness and my wife snapped this pic (which I wasn't exactly ready for).

She did, however, get this one of me and my youngest beagle.

The show was excellent. The only problem was, being the last performance of the season, the orchestra wasn't performing. It was a soundtrack they danced to which I thought odd. My wife and I hold "season tickets" to the ballet and I've never seen a performance without an orchestral accompaniment until now.
A funny thing happened there too. While waiting in the lobby during the intermission, a woman approached me with her 17-18 year old daughter and asked for a picture with me so she could show her friends. I obliged, not being one to turn down a photo op with a pretty, young lass, and the mother commented to my wife that her daughter was in love.

Good pictures and glad you enjoyed the ballet.
I believe that Les Sylphides has been danced in a kilt so maybe Nutcracker will at some stage!

It's been a while since I've seen The Nutcracker, but couldn't someone interpret the toy soldiers as being a highland regiment.?
