    Dad's Christmas gift

Finally got around to uploading pics of the sgian I made for my dad. Set up for a lefty in the true "Kerr fisted" tradition.

Blade is Damascus from Caulfield Leather. Handle is mainly ebony with bloodwood running down the center with steel accents.

    Close up of the handle.

    Enjoy!

Very nice. Like the looks of the damascus blade.

I really like the simplicity of the handle, everything balances out nicely. A Job well done!

    That is absolutely beautiful.

I love the ebony with the bloodwood.
Makes a very nice contrast and works great together.

    Thanks all!

Had a lot of fun with this one. Getting the groove for the bloodwood right was a bit tricky, but in this case, the ebony was pretty forgiving. Hard as all get out, so tough to remove too much material at one time by accident (heck....even hard to do on purpose!)

Thanks again for the encouragement. It does mean a lot coming from such a talented group.
