    Sporran picture wanted

I am finishing up my 1st DIY sporran from the pattern in Thompson book(pictures to follow of course). I chose the Rob Roy style for the 1st go round. As i was working today I came across a rabbit pelt that needs a home. So i started making plans for my next sporran. I plan to make the other patten that seems more of an evening sporran Here is where i need the assistance from you lot. I need a visual reference to go with the directions. I am hopping that this sporran will be able to pass as a semi-formal or at least dressy evening attire.

So if anyone out there in XMTS land has used this pattern and has a pic, or can toss me a link to a thread where this may be covered, That would be fantastic.

once again i thank you all in advance

    Billy

I find myself in very much the same situation, only I just picked up a Red Fox pelt, Maybe we should combine our thread along with anyone else "in progress" of making a semi-formal and formal dress sporran for the benifit of the membership. I have found that searching for this info in amongst the threads to be less than benifitial. If we get a truely hands on and instructional DIY thread going here, I'd ask the mods to make it a sticky.

    Any thoughts?

I am with you, but the snag is that I am using a Published and Copyrighted pattern. I would hate to infringe on Mr Thompson information, i think the mods would agree. Now if others are using a different design for there formal or semi formal sporrans. Than a DIY sporran sticky sounds like a good idea to me

MODs will you please weigh in on this.
