Bought lots of USA Kilts stuff

I received my Isle of Skye semi-trad yesterday and it is a beauty. I also got my argyll jacket and vest, and I absolutely love them. I've been wanting and argyll jacket and vest for a long time. So today I wore it for my walk in the park. I wore it with my 5-yd 16 oz wool Ireland's National. I had to stop and Lowe's and wore it there as well. With the temperature in the mid 40's I was plenty warm with the kilt, jacket, and vest.

Really no special occasion. I just had to wear it. It felt nice to be dressed up, and boy did it ever draw attention. People seemed to be respectful rather than just the usual smiles - like I was someone of importance, like a dignitary. Probably just my imagination.

I also have a Thompson Carmel semi-trad, a warrior casual, and a Caledonia casual on order. So all together, I'll have 5 semi-trads and 4 casuals. I really like USA Kilts, and Rocky and Kelly are great folks.

That argyll jacket and vest has really hooked me. Now I'm thinking about ordering another in tweed. Why not just dress up a bit once in a while? Nothing wrong with going to the park for a walk and looking extra good.

Congratulations. Please post some pics of that IOS. I have been waiting to see what the PV looks like. The other items too of course, as proof if nothing else.

I say go for that tweed. Appropriate for any cool day as far as I am concerned.

Lovat Green tweed looks 'the bees knees' with the IOS tartan:

SECOND favorite is 'Charcoal' tweed with the IOS. Charcoal also looks great with pretty much every tartan, so it's good if you're going to wear it with different kilts.

I too bought one of the Argyle jacket/vest combos that USA Kilts has had on sale.
This past weekend, I had the occasion to wear it to Tir Na Nog in Raleigh for a Burns Dinner.

    It was awesome!
The jacket/vest looked smashing and made me feel far better dressed than any thing less formal would have done.

Thanks Rocky for the great sale price that convinced me to take the plunge.
Now, it is time for that stroll around the park

    Cheers,
    Jerry Usary

Well done! It's amazing how a well put together kilt outfit can make one feel ten feet tall and it's amazing how that vibe is conveyed to the people you meet.

Your "FEELINGS" on the DAY, ECHO my my thoughts. There is that "FEELING" when you "dress up'
As to other people being respectful, IMHO, they do so because they see the respect you have for yourself.
