Aye, tis a Ferguson Britt, I should have mentioned that. A wonderful sporran. Now, my wife says I need a good kilt belt (I'm wearing my 18th century kilt belt, lots of wear, with the side knife that never comes off!!). Any good, not expensive, recommendations for a kilt belt? Malcolm

A lovely kilt sir! As far as belts, I don't have one either, but have you looked at Stillwater Kilts? They seem to have some nice accessories for the tight budget.

I don't own one, but I'm quite partial to the offerings from Oconee Leatherworks myself. Prices seem reasonable.

Garters are leather and are 18th century repos. I usually wear them with all hose except AWI when Highland troops were issued red hose ties (1/2 inch woven tapes). With modern hose I sometimes wear wider red hose ties; tie and fold them so they look like flashes which I don't own.
