Plaster cast
I need sympathy please, & lots of it. A week ago I had another operation on my hand. The plaster cast has to stay on for 3 weeks, then it will take another 2 months to heal properly. The problem was a badly worn thumb joint which was causing me a lot of pain. I am fed up! no golf-Guitar anything.

Feeling sorry for myself.

I feel for you. I've had 5 major operations on my right arm (yes I'm a righty) from the elbow down (they say I need a sixth ). They've done wrist reconstructions, tendon graphs, messed with bones in my hand, wrist, lower arm. I've got pins, bolts, screws, and a titanium plate 1/2 a foot long on ulner side of lower arm. Ulner nerve damage, etc.... I don't even like talking about it. I'm in pain ALL the time and it sucks. So with that being stated, I completely sympathise with you and I wish you a speedy recovery. I'm not trying to out do you in any way, merely letting you know I understand. I'm not looking forward to number 6. The Docs say they can make it hurt less. Something about fuses this and removing that . Tell you what, I'll trade with you. . I know. I never have any takers. I hope you get better quick. Besides nothing can keep us Scots down. NOTHING!!! In my case I have a War hammer / mace for a right arm. Good luck. It will get better.

Lots of sympathy here too. I feel for you! 4 years ago I was in a long leg cast (right leg) and a short arm cast (right arm). I was hobbling to the bathroom on crutches and slipped....broke the right arm the day after breaking the leg!
