this should be fun
Ok so tonight my son had a international fair at school. He is begging me to take him and i thought i would go in kilt. The kids are learning about different countries and cultures so this would be perfect.
Sure i will have a ton of questions but i am game.
Anyway just thought i would share that.

Well it was a blast. We walked around to various stations and he had to answer questions about each of the countries. Sadly there was only us (or i) to represent Scotland. But we had a ball and i had tons of attention because of the kilt. Please understand this was just a casual affair. Kilt and t-shirt. I dont have a few dress set yet but i id the best i could with what i had.
One thing i found out tonight, i really got to get new hose. Being new to the kilt i had never really wore the hose before and i found out they barely go up past a regular sock. Guess i have long legs.
But no one noticed other than me. I was much impressed by my sons easy going social skills. Any time someone asked he explained it was a kilt and our family roots are Scottish/Irish. Not bad for a child of five

Sounds like a good evening, and a great way to help spread cultural understanding.

Yes sir! Rowland, you are new to the board, so there is a rule you need to learn, and learn fast- If there are no pictured, then it didn't happen.
Sounds like a great night! Welcome to the board.
