Arizona Highland Gathring
A very positive article in mainstream media about kilts at the Arizona Highland Gathering.

Great Scot! you spotted that over in Scotland!
The New Times is an alternative newspaper here in Phoenix. Their weekly edition will be out today. I'll pick up a copy and see if they did anything in print. As an alternative newspaper it will hit a lot of young people in a very positive way. Along the lines of the blog, as I passed a couple of women at the games, one of them said intentionally loud enough for me to hear it, "A man in a kilt is sexy!" The power of the kilt.
The picture of the pipers is of the Phoenix Pipe Band of which Thunderbolt is a member. You can just see him in the back row on the left. (It helps to click on the image to enlarge it.) They took second place in grade 4 competition.
mcvarmit, I've got some pictures also. When I have a chance I'll add a few to this thread as well.

I've got a bunch of photos that I still need to upload, but I'll post em as soon as I do.
I had a great time at the games. I don't think I was dressed gothic enough for this lady to take notice of me and my group. She seems to like the punk rock kilt guy based on her article.
Nice find on the article!

Unfortunately, there's nothing in their print edition. But, the blog probably gets a lot of hits by young adults. Won't hurt to have the publicity.

Lovely pictures - shows that kilts work in desert climes as much as in snowy ones.
