    New Kilt Makes Formal Debut

This evening my wife and I hosted the hors d'œuvres for a progressive dinner. The progressive dinner was an auction item at a fund raiser. The four couples were delivered to our house by limousine. The hors d'œuvres came from our favorite Irish pub. We did a Celtic theme, and I dressed as shown. The kilt was sewn by Kathy Lare. The tartan is Episcopal Clergy, 16 oz woven by D. C. Dalgliesh.

Good on ya -- but I really want to see that tartan with a clergy shirt and Argyll jacket!

    Regards,

    Todd

It was a very successful evening. Our guests enjoyed it very much. They were very interested in the kit, and wanted to have all of the details explained. I had an engaged conversation about it with one man in particular. More kilt education accomplished.

    The hors d'œuvres included:
Fisherman style mussels, steamed in beer with a lite cream sauce of garlic, shallots and herbs
Almond encrusted fried brie with apple compote
    Salmon cakes
    Hot Bollix Spicy Potato Balls
    Guinness Wings
    Corned Beef Sandwiches
And, wine, Guinness and Smithwicks beer, and Glenlivet 12

Success -- they went on from our house to the next stop for a Cajun dinner

Todd, I'll get a pic with clergy shirt -- but the Argyll will have to wait until I get one!

You have to love that Smithwicks beer. Fortunately we have one bar 12 miles away that has it on tap.
