hi folks
just thought i`d say to hi to everyone here ,
ive been reading up on some stuff for a few weeks now so i thought id register and say hi ..
. my names scott chisholm and i live in coatbridge(next door to glasgow) scotland
its great reading some of the threads on this forum ,sometimes i get the impression alot of members are more proud of the scots/irish ancestors than the actual scots/irish are.thankfully im one of those scots who are proud of there heritage with scotland and ireland ive traced just about most of my family tree going back in some sides 700 years and my own surname back to the 1600s, my irish side that came over in the famine are harder to trace mainly due to the costs with irish genology but perhaps over time it`ll be easier to get the info
anyways enough of my bleathering
all the best folks

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Welcome from Roswell. My Gordons came from Aberdeenshire through County Down to Virginia.
Convener, Georgia Chapter, House of Gordon (Boss H.O.G.)
Where 4 Scotsmen gather there'll usually be a fifth.
7/5 of the world's population have a difficult time with fractions.

Hello and a warm Celtic from Boston, Massachusetts.
Scott, thank you for the great introductory post. I hope that you enjoy the posts of the kilted rabble. As a Scot in Scotland, you have much to contribute to our interest in all things Scot. Not just the ancient history and genealogy, but what the current trends and opinions of the wearing of the kilt and Highland kit.
You will, I hope be of good help to Jock Scot, who has tried with true Scot tenacity to educate the rabble.
Slainte,
