    Shir Shaun's £5,000 kilt

Yes-it's not a typo. Shir Shaun was sporting a £5,000 kilt in New York last night. http://edinburghnews.scotsman.com/to...she.5124107.jp

No pics of the kilt? I would be interested in seeing the tartan

Exactly my thought, too. Not only for the kilt but for the show as a whole.

£5,000 for a kilt seems a bit much, especially since it's not even wool.

Well, cashmere is a kind of a wool, though it comes from goat and not a sheep. And it is generally more expensive than sheep's wool for it's soft, silky quality. I am curious how well it holds a pleat. The article described it as being a delicate textile - which seems an odd choice for a kilt.

Nevertheless, I can imagine how much fun it would be to strap on a silky smooth, £5,000 cashmere kilt.

    Regards,
    Rex.

Does anyone know the Peeble's weavers? They would probably have a pic of it.
