Weathered Gordon...show me some pics, please
So, I've been in the process on deciding what my next kilt will be. I was first thinking about maybe Highland Granite or an Auld Lang Syne tartan. Then after my visit to Culloden I was thinking about either a Jacobite or Culloden tartan (I know love 'em or hate 'em, I kind of like them).
Well, I figured I'm still saving so I have plenty of time to decide on a tartan. Then low and behold I see a picture of gent in a Weathered Gordon(I have a Gordon Modern so it really caught my attention) and I said I have to have that and I have connections to it to boot. So, I guess I have to save faster!
I would like to see pictures of Weathered Gordons in some different options. I did a search but didn't come up with as many as I would have liked. Basically, I would to see pics here from members to help me decide on what kind of Weathered Gordon I want. I.E. Box pleat versus knife, sett versus stripe, etc.
Thanks for any input.

I made a weathered Gordon kilt for Turpin some time back. I hope he doesn't mind me posting these pictures. The kilt is a 4 yard box pleated kilt, made from Lochcarron 16 oz Strome cloth.

It's a really nice tartan. Though I really like the Auld Lang Syne tartan Lochcarron is producing now, and their Highland Granite, as well. I own a kilt in the Highland Granite, and I was half tempted to make myself a box pleat in the Auld Lang Syne when I first saw the cloth, though I resisted the temptation.

Thanks for the photos! I'm very much set on the Weathered Gordon, though the Highland Granite and Auld Lang Syne are great looking tartans. I'm going with something I have connections to this time around and I'm pretty sure I'm going box pleat, because I don't have one yet. Though, I would like to see at least one knife pleated version to help me make up my mind.

Okay, here's two more pics I found.
Leg up at the office to show the pleat spread.

Think that's a grey wool Filson vest.
And another pleat shot for you.

With them gold hose scored at Sierra Trading Co some years ago.
Hope this is helpful for you.

Ron,
Thanks for those photos! Don't worry, I'm definitely getting the Weathered Gordon! I don't know why it didn't come to mind in my initial tartan searching but after I stumbled across a photo of it I knew that was the one. I just have to figure out how I want it made, but between you and Matt I have all of the reference photos I need to make a decision.
