$Million Dollar Tartan$
Which tartan do you think makes a man look like a million bucks in evening wear? In other words, which tartan is the most elegant? Please put aside your favourites and your own tartans and nominate the most elegant Million dollar tartan.
Thanks, ColMac
(sometimes it seems like you can spend a million on your gear)

I learnt a long time ago to refrain from commenting on other people's tartans, good or ill. It causes less offence that way.

Beloit,
I have a MacDonald ancient and it in my opinion is a bit busy to be considered elegant. By the way the one you have shown I believe is actually MacDonald of Clanranald---regular MacD has no white stripes.
Back to the OP, I personally really like the Douglas Ancient---vivid colors, simple pattern. I do also like the Hunting Scott.
But really, whatever you got that makes you look good works for me.

The Douglas, whether it be modern or ancient, is indeed a very elegant tartan.
