    Smile And so it begins...

I went to Kiltmart in Phoenix today and bought my first kilt. I decided to get the hand sewn Pride of Scottland. I also purchased a belt and buckle and a sporran.

My initial thoughts on the kilt is that the sewing quality is good and the weight is good. I am not all that impressed with the leather straps, but for the money, I can't complain. I guess they can always be replaced.

It will be interesting to hear any comments I get when I wear it grocery shopping tomorrow.

Congrats. Be sure and post a picture soon and start saving up. I'd say most everyone here has bought their first kilt but no one has bought their last...

Congratulations on your first kilt. Wear it with pride. BTW there's not much hope for you once the kilt addiction starts!
