The Piper's Daddy
I threw on my Utilikilt Mocker with a t-shirt and sandals this morning to take my dog to the beach. As I was on my way, a somewhat inebriated guy came stumbling out of an alley and shouted "Hey!" I kept on walking (never sure what to expect from drunks).
Then he said "It takes a REAL man to wear a kilt." So I stopped and he came up and shook my hand and asked, "Are you Rowdy Roddy Piper's daddy?" I laughed and told him no. The he repeated, "it takes a REAL man to wear a kilt, " and stumbled off on his way. Life in a kilt can be interesting.

A kinder drunk would have asked if you were his brother, cousin, etc. A less polite drunk might have asked if you were his grandfather.

I don't mind. I'm and old codger aspiring to be an old curmudgeon (I am somewhat curmudgeonly challenged).

I love that word inebriated. Intoxicated has that nasty core word TOXIC in it...
My favorite drunken response to my kilt was "Hey Switzerland!"
Cracked me up. The guy WAS trying to be friendly...he just got the "S" countries scrambled in his besotted brain.

I love it when people show all their cards like that. It makes responding to them redundant.

Yes, at that point all sufficiency has been suffonsified, any more would be superfluously abundant.ith:

well
I went to a local irish pub kilted. Not a person batted an eye or said a word. That seemed even more insulting.
