    Unique sporran

Check this out... Kate Macpherson makes full-mask mallard sporrans. Pheasant, crocodile, and salmon also grace her artworks.

Pretty impressive! I wouldn't have thought you could make a full-mask duck...

Ok, the hare looks posessed IMHO, but the pheasant is an interesting look. I wonder how the feathers would hold up?

Have to confess, I've never been a fan of the full mask sporrans. The idea of having a nearly-whole, recognisable animal hanging over my crotch has never appealed.

But a whole dead duck tied around my waist? That's just weird!

I agree with much said here. I'm a more traditional sporran Scotsman!

Don't think I could get away with wearing these in my neighborhood. I live across the street from an elementary school. I think the PTA would show up at my house with pitchforks and torches.

And full mask sporrans aren't "traditional?"

I'll have to say I think the bird sporrans are a bit of a novelty, but the masks are truly beautiful--and very traditional.

I am quite sure that full mask sporrans are traditional as well. I do have to say though, as a traditionalist, I'm more comfortable with foxes, and certain members of the weasel family (like badgers) as full mask sporrans.

I find the non-mammal and traditional mask sporrans to be....very weird.
