Talking Avast! The Nor Cal Rabble’s raising the Jolly Roger on June 20th!

Look smart, ye scurvy dogs! The Rabble is descending the Northern California Pirate Festival: http://www.norcalpiratefestival.com/ in Vallejo, on Saturday June 20th.

Be ye a follower of “Red Leg” Greaves, or Capt. Kidd, there’s always room for another member of the crew. (To read about other Scottish pirates, click here.)

The PirateFest is a free event with lots of entertainment and vendors (but not too much shade). Our plan is to meet up (kilts definitely, costumes optional) enjoy the event, and then beat the retreat to a water’n hole, to cool off and divide the plunder.

    More details to follow.

    Best regards,

    The Dread-Pyrate-Jake

You list June 19th, Friday; the website says Saturday/Sunday. The dread Scooby and I can come on Sunday, but I am otherwise engaged on Saturday. Let us know the scoop.

Oops. Math was never my strong suit. Meant Saturday the 20th. Cap'n Panache, could you fix the title please?

Smayniac, sorry you can't make it on Saturday. Its worth checking out, even without The F-H.C.A.S.G. in pirate garb.

    Best regards,

    Jake

Oh', I don't know. Have you ever walked a plank?

In a previous life, Mrs. Farlander was an official Sea Dog. A gig that she would do on occasion was to take a long wide chunk of wood (i.e. a plank) and tie a line (i.e. length of rope) around it, and drag it around while being all teary eyed. So of course inevitably, someone would see the spectacle and have to ask, "My dear Lady, what is the matter? What are you doing?". This would then be replied by "I was a bad little girl, sniff sputter,
AND THEY ARE MAKING ME WALK THE PLANK!"
