    Yup....the ladies LOVE 'em....

...even only if those ladies were my mother, mom's best friend, aunt and sister-in-law.

Went to Big D yesterday for a spell to see my aunt and mom before they headed off to Michigan for the summer. Brought my son, daughter, myself and our Gordon tartans. My aunt was a wealth of further information into my Scottish heritage, but it was kinda cool to teach her a little about some of the terminology and kinda explain the difference between septs and clans (I like to use Texas as a Sept with the USA as the clan).

Nonetheless, both my son and I kilted up for a nice steak dinner. All the ladies in the house loved it. My sister-in-law insisted that my brother kilt up as well (I brought along a Black Watch thrifty just in case). Guess he's not ready yet, but I'll get him there someday. Mom took some pics, so they may appear here someday (she's not the greatest with this here internet thang )....

    heh

Sounds like a blast, we should all spend more time with our families, especially the mothers and mother-in-laws. Haven't talked to me mum in a couple weeks, you have inspired me to call her.

    Excellent !

Gotta work on your brother though. Or have his wife work on him in that way that only a wife can... You know, persuasion.

You have to word it right though, so the sister-in-law doesn't change her mind.

My mother was so interested in kilting that she used to lurk here on Xmarks to find out what my brother Turpin was doing.
