Exclamation A moment of silence please

    www.kiltday.com is no more.

kiltday.com expired on 05/07/2009 and is pending renewal or deletion
A shame we did not know of its passing sooner. It will be missed, if for no other reason than it listed various good excuses for various days to be kilted, and also reminded us that every day is a kilt day.

I just checked the site and see that it now directs viewers to various sites for purchasing kilts. So the cause isn't entirely dead yet.

But, yes, a loss of an encouraging site.

Not really Galician. The site you're seeing is basically a para-site (hey, I just made that up!) auto-generated by a keyword-based program to make money from residual traffic. It's got no real content or editing input. These 'sites' pop up to do with any subject when anyone forgets to renew their domain, and a domain squatter jumps in. They cost almost zero to produce, and make a few pennies when anyone is tempted into clicking on the ads. With automated systems churning out such sites by the thousand, the profits add up.

Nick, here is a bizarre note: I tried some of those search links & found a result at target.com, a US department store. For $10 one can pre-order

Hmmm, so is it possible that motorman simply forgot to renew the domain, and we shall see it again? That would be encouraging news! I know we all appreciate the enthusiasm a newbie (like myself) would show when they first found the site and it hit them that Kilt Day was that very same day!
