A special kind of trust for fellow members of X Marks The Scot
I have been a member here for about 4 months now. I have noticed something interesting that I have never noticed anywhere else. Members of this site of a special kind of trust for other members. Having sold a few things on e-bay, and here, I have noticed this. Several people have bought things from me because I am a member of this site (and, I think, because I visit regularly). I have sold two kilt related items on the For Sale section of this site. Both sent money to me without really knowing me at all. All they new was that I was a member of this site and, as one state, "that was enough for me." It is so amazing to me the kind of trust we have with one another here. I think it is a special thing that exists. The only other thing I could compare it to is the trust I have within my own family. It is an awesome thing!
I was wondering if anyone else felt this same way.

I don't trust some members of my own family as much as I trust my fellow X-Markers.

I certainly don't write (e-mail) to some members of my own family as much as I do with my fellow X-Markers.
Best,

We don't choose the members of our family, but we carefully choose with who we get involved on our own choice. This could be additional reason.
Regards to all!

Yep. We are a family, maybe virtual, but still a family.

I definitely agree! But you knew that, since I just bought a really cool sporran from you
I'd buy something from a member here over a total stranger anyday. Even though we may not personally know each other, there is a definite familiarity and sense of comraderie that we have here just from reading each others posts, swapping stories, and the level of support we have for each other in our pursuits.

If Grant offers you a really cool sporran, do not trust him! You do not want that sporran...trust me.
Though I do agree and lets work hard to keep this forum this way!

I totally feel that way. This is truely my clan. I have confided some of my most personal problems with people here, I have asked parenting advice from the people here, I have bought, sold, and traded here. This is a great community. :ootd:
