    Got my new sporran!

I purchased this wonderful sporran from our fellow X Marker, bricekolob, on Ebay. It has a magnetic closure (woohoo, no more trying to get those darn snaps to snap ). The gusset is very ample and quite supple. It will hold a lot of stuff! Very well made and the skunk fur is just excellent. Well worth the money spent.

Maybe, I can get some action photos later and put them in my album when my wife gets home. I tried to take some myself and they turned out terrible. So, the one pic I took will have to suffice for now, though, this pic doesn't do this sporran justice. Brice makes some darn good sporrans.

All in all, a great sporran and a wonderful, smooth transaction. This sporran will see a lot of use. Thanks again, Brice!

    Congratulations.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I too saw that one on ebay and recognized our own bricekolob as the seller. If my wife weren't allergic to animal dander and fur I might have bid against you. But I settled for a red fox dress sporran instead-----one new animal fur sporran will be bad enough.

    Congrats, its a beauty.

I'm glad you didn't buy it out from under me I almost missed it myself though. I was actually looking for a good quality used full dress sporran or full mask sporran. But everytime I did a search for fur sporrans on Ebay, I kept seeing this beautiful skunk fur staring me in the face. Finally, temptation and price conspired to make me buy it It also helped that it was coming from a member of the forum.

By the way, I think he has a few more available.

I am sure the photo makes it look a lot smaller than it really is. It is a very beautiful sporran. I used to think that skunk sporrans were not so nice, after having seen this one and one that McMurdo uses in some of his photos I am thinking that I quite like them.

The photo does make it look small, that's my horrible camera skills at work. I'm also not sure what the standard sett size is supposed to be for Black Stewart, but mine is big. This sporran is actually slightly bigger than any of my other sporrans. The sporran measures aprroximately 7" tall x 6.5" inches at its widest point. It has a, roughly, 2" gusset, though, and that's where its real capacity comes from.

I thought the same thing about skunk sporrans too at first. I too thank McMurdo for showing me the virtues of skunk fur.

Very nice sporran. Believe me it will get a lot of attention where ever you go. I wear a raccoon sporran and people are always asking were they can get one. Enjoy your new sporran.
