Post for the soap(eastender) fans in the uk

i saw this a wee while ago on the dailymail i don't watch any soaps on TV i find them rather depressing and somewhat stupid to behonest but id imagine there is a few lads on here that are stuck watching these soaps with there other half's
anyways check this actor in his kilt (please note these folks are actors the daily mail somehow seems to report them as if there actually real people so some journalist needs a reality check)

still its good to see a cockney in a kilt for a change

It is great to see that coming back from Scotland with a kilt is a great souvenir of a trip. Now it just remains to be seen if that kilt is ever used again on the show!

Just as an aside, does anyone have any experience with a two-person bike? Do they handle well?

    Two person bike?

    That would be a tandem.

I have not ridden one, but my father used to build racing ones. When out road testing them with a friend they used to overtake cars - that would be back in the 1930s, so it is not as surprising as it sounds at first.

Tandams usually come with a man's bike as the front - with a crossbar, and either a 'lady back' or a 'man back' - the back part being either a lady's, without the crossbar, or a man's with the crossbar.

Racing tandems normally have two crossbars for strength. The Beales' one seems to be a doubled mountain bike, with a cross bar that is set lower than a standard man's bike, to provide rigidity to the extended frame.

The handling is not very different from a normal bike, though the braking can be rather exciting as they have only the two wheels but double the weight so particularly with two beefy racers aboard slowing down could either take time or result in spectacular skids or spills.
