up untill this tour that was my house... I did my whole probie year there.

it could have been MUCH worse if the Captain hadn't woken up in time.

I'm glad all my B-shifter Brothers are ok, but I'm sad that the station is gone.

by the way......we don't call 911.....just for backup

I'm very glad that I don't have to double tap my next glass of scotch for your friends. Fire scares the p*** out of me. I can't imagine doing what you guys do.

you know I SHOULD be scared of it.....but I think its the most fun I can have at a job!
I know what your thinking......how can you have fun while the people you are helping are having the worst day of their lives?

I'm doing a job I LOVE which makes it "fun" in the sense that I LOOK FORWARD to going to work every (other) day.
its a real rush ( in every sense of the word) on the way to a call. its a rush when we get a save ( house, or life)
and its a rush of pride when we get a thank you from someone when we made a difference in their lives!

they said it best in academy.

I don't face phyical danger during my work day, unless you count paper cuts and carpal tunnel syndrome as being dangerous. But on the other hand, when you are asked to do your job it means that other people are in serious need of help. Your ability to disregard your own safety in order to help your fellow man is WAY HIGH on my list of things to admire.

My job is building the weapons our soldiers use. I had the good fortune of meeting one of our soldiers who has used the weapons I help to produce. He told me that he saved about 200 lives as a result of what I do. I walked about 3 feet off the ground for days after I talked to him.

Do I consider myself in the same category of soldier, police, fireman, absolutely not. But I have an inkling of what you must feel when you save a life. Booya to all of you
