Looks like the Gathering will be a once in a lifetime event (though I hope it isn't and they see that a periodic gathering may be viable). I'm sure that there will be an abundance of wonderful candid shots taken by members as we see in many a post. It might be a good idea to set up a sub-forum or at least a separate gallery dedicated to this event. I'm eargerly awaiting a glimpse of some of the photos.

I hope that the organizers have the sense to do a professional documentary of it. It deserves to be preserved on film. If done right it could be great keepsake for those who attend and next best thing for those (like me who didn't). Some might say, who cares or it's just another Highland Games but I don't think so.
