Don't Forget: July 1st is a Kilt Holiday!
On July 1, 1782, George III signed the Repeal of the Act Prescribing the Wearing of Highland Dress. Since August 1, 1746, it had been illegal to wear a kilt (except as part of a military regiment) or even own a piece of tartan. Violators were subject to imprisonment for six months for a first offense and transportation to a penal colony for up to seven years.
I don't normally wear my kilt to work, but I can definitely get away with it next Wednesday.

Well, since I'll be on vacation... I just may ave to wear a kilt. July 1... I'll be breaking down camp and heading for my next camp. I think perhaps my Amerkilt may be the most practical- even if it isn't tartan.

Blimey... it's a world of coincidence. It so happens the 30th of June (the day preceding) is pay day. That must mean July 1st is also get the beers in day. I love it when a plan comes together !!

Thanks for the heads up! Kilted Hump Day!
EDIT: Aye, I thought I had to work Wednesday evening but finding out I'm off, an Impromptu Kilt Night @ Fredericksburg Pub has been announced. Thanks again, McFarkus.

McFarkus, thanks for the reminder.
It's kind of a "take-your-kilt-to-work-and dinner" day. Sounds good to me.
