Graduation Day.
Well, my little girl is graduating high school today and I'm an emotional mess!
I'm so proud of her, so happy for the potential life in front of her, but very, very sad. I adore the smart, strong, confident, beautiful young woman she has become, but I deeply miss the little girl who used to crawl up in my lap to snuggle and watch TV.
I'll bet some of you guys have been through this.
No kilts today. Not going to draw attention away from her in any way.

I have been there and yes her new life is just starting and so is yours.
New adventures for both of you are just ahead.
Congratulations to her on her accomplishments and to her new future.

I can relate.
I've got one of those who turned into a nurse with three little girls of her own. She was my first child. My pride for her and for who she had become sits side-by-side with a poignant sense of loss that is never far below the surface. Goes with the turf. As my mother used to say, "parenting ain't for sissies."
I've got another who is ten going on sixteen... it goes by so fast!! She can and does still want to snuggle for some TV or a story or two... but even when that's happening, I can already see glimpses of the young lady who's going to be too big for that... wouldn't trade it for anything, though.
Congratulations to your daughter (and to you!) on her graduation.

I can relate, Bob. I remember my daughter's graduation (she's 28 now). I can still feel the pride, and the little bit of loss too. Congratulations to her on her graduation, and to you too!
