Have you ever been checked for your dress under the kilt?

I have not worn a kilt other than one time. But that one time I was at a rather "vigorous" gathering and a couple of young ladies took it upon themselves to check if I were "a true Scot" or not by lifting my kilt.

My question is has this happened to you and if so how did you respond?

It is a dull night if I do not get at least one 'kilt check' in the evening at the pub. If the fish are not biting, move to another pub.

Almost every time I wear a kilt it happens - oy vey, the stories I could tell. If I'm at a festival or ren faire where the beer flows freely it's almost a given. If they try reaching up the kilt to "see" for themselves, I usually just tell them "don't start anything you can't finish"

On time my brother-in-law and I was walking to the van at Estes when a couple of girls "accosted" us by the van and asked us what was under our kilts. I popped off with the usual reply "lipstick" to which one of them said with a hungry wolf look "hey I've got some lipstick" - I just couldn't think of anything to say after that one

Well, this should be fun. Here's how I predict this thread will go:

    1. Several people will say no.
    2. Someone will add that they never go to places in a kilt when that's likely to happen.
    3. A few people will say it's happened and felt violated.
    4. Someone will remind you to search the archives.
    5. Maybe someone will post a story about what a great time they had when it happened.
    6. A discussion of men's rights involving analogies about sexual harassment will ensue. Someone will add it's not a game.
    7. There will be a discussion of what's worn under the kilt in various circumstances.
    8. Various hypothetical scenarios and aggressive reactions will be described.
    9. Tempers will flare.
    10. The mods will caution
    11. Someone will complain about the mods
    12. The thread will be shut down.

I'm not saying it's not worth discussing for those who are just now getting started with the kilting thing, but this can be a tricky subject.

Really, I think the thing that matters here is how do you think it should be handled? What did you do, and what would you have preferred to do, if you had thought of it.

    Regards,
    Rex.

I'm sorry but I get annoyed when this happens
    Female to male - it's a joke
Male to female - it's 3-5 years and put on the sex offenders registry
