Flat Cap confederation --- New Social Group
Zardoz has started a new social group, The Flat Cap Confederation:
We are a group of funloving, kilted and capped individuals who embrace the ideal that in modern Highlandware the Flatcap, Newsboy, Quartercap, Trimmer, Scally, or similar, can be just as appropriate, historic and traditional as the Tam, Glen or Balmoral.
Come on in, you can leave your hat on!
I am proud to join him as his first added member. Flatcaps forever!

Er, may one enquire, whether you are talking about flat cas in general, or, am I to assume that you are talking about kilts and flat caps? As this is a kilt forum, I assume the latter. Am I correct in this?

Like Groucho I wouldn't join a club that would have me as a member and anyway I only wear a flat cap when kilted after dark.

Is there a particular reason for this?

Three reasons actually;-
1. We quite often get rain here after dark
2. Being follically challenged (not enough hair) it keeps the cold night air off
and
3. Nobody can see how you look because it's dark
