    New Casual Kilt Military style jacket from Empire Canvas Works

    For those that know X Marker Kevin Kinney and his company Empire Canvas Works http://www.empirecanvasworks.com/entry%20page.htm know that occasionally Kevin offers up some of his one-off experiments.

    Delightfully Kevin and I share a similar size and this military style olive jacket came to be mine.

    With a kilt

    A great thing about this jacket is that does double duty!

    With slacks

    It is a great match with my new messenger bag

    Unlike most military Ike style jackets /battle dress blouses this one is not made of wool so it can be worn comfortably in warmer weather.

    Like everything else I have ever owned or seen made by Kevin and ECW it is built to be worn on the trail and take a lot of abuse.

    I really think it is a winner but when I asked Kevin if he was planning on making these available through ECW or the Scottish Tartan Museum he told me that he had enough on his plate already and this was indeed just a one off project and not a prototype.

    I would like to offer kudos to Kevin for his talent

    This jacket is a winner!

    Cheers

    Thumbs up

    I really like the jacket. But would rather have the traditional olive green buttons over the black snaps. Do you know if he offers it that way. I have been searching for an "Ike" jacket for some time but have had no luck finding one in my size. {50L}

    Hello all,

    This creation was a one and only. I doubt there will be more. We're booked.
