Pictures from the Jackson Hole Scottish Games
We had a great time at the Jackson Games. We met up with Arlen and Dianne. (they'll have to post pictures of that because the person we handed our camera to forgot to take pictures for us.)
They also coerced us into audience participation in which we learned a few Scottish Country Dance moves (didn't get pictures of that either *groan!*)
My brother and his wife came to the games but we just couldn't convince him to don our loaner kilt.
For some reason it won't let me click on the insert image tab. I'll add pictures and videos as soon as I figure it out. --Chelsea McMurdo--

Looks like another great location for the games. Wish we could have attended but we've been to Iowa City for our grandson's 3rd cleft surgery. This was the roughest for him but should be the last one. He's almost back to his normal rough and tumble self now but has to wait a few months before he can get back to wrestling.

Chelsea,
I moved your photo posts from Diane's thread about plans for the Jackson Hole Scottish Games to their own thread in the "Show us your picts" forum where more people we see them.
On a personal note that is a great shot of your whole family
Cheers

Looks like a lot of fun! I am sad I missed it. I am looking forward to the first annual Cache Valley Highland Games.

Can anyone ID the orange/red and blue tartan?
great pics btw
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

That tartan is the US St. Andrews/US Bicentennial tartan, which is actually just red/white/blue (orange effect is probably lighting).

Yep that's the White Peaks Centennial Pipe Band wearing the US Saint Andrew Society tartan.
My husband likes it too, but so far we can only find it in 10 oz wool.

Thanks... it's nice!
I'll add it to my list of kilt to get. Its number 20 or so
