Is Grant missing?
Ladies and Gentlemen of XMTS it with dire concern I note that our own Grant, X Marker ccga3359, sole member of the Kilted Order of the Rubber Chicken, (in)glorious leader of the Mighty SOKS, and possessor of a golden mane of of blond hair and pert buttocks has not posted since last month!
HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN?
It is rumored among the SOKS that he has a birthday coming up.
So it could be that with typical Grant logic he has decided to hide in the basement so Father Time can't find him.
There are so many things we could say about Grant (they really have to be said as most are unprintable) but I'm sure all would agree that he makes XMTS a lot of fun*.
Grant,
Wherever you are
Whatever you are doing (and hey stop that! )
and for whatever odd reason...
We like you.
Some come back and post some!
Your friend

Don't worry, Jamie, I'll have my team get on it right away!
Now, where could he be?

You missed out the Norwegian Jamie:
Hvor er Grant?
And the Welsh:
Ble Mae Grant?
Perhaps he has been taken back to that Prairie establishment from which he escaped?

Rumour has it that Grant is deep in the rain forests of Brazil in search for the extremely rare almost extinct rubber chicken tree. Due to recent market conditions, the stock in the ACME rubber chicken consortium has taken a cluckin due to lack of demand in the once profitable rubber chicken sporran product. Upon further investigation it was discovered a certain gentleman of Burlington Ontario was trying to corner the market and thus a false demand for the product was created.
Given the fact that Grant was mezmorized by why the rubber chicken would cross the road and bounce back figured he had a winner with a stretchable sporran with legs that actually had drum sticks instead of tassels to beat out a rythym whilst walking.
He will show up some day with rubber chicks.

I just checked the cellar here - the penultimate volume (sweets and desserts) of the Encyclopedia Culinaria is still safe, as is the original manuscript of the Joy of Snacks.
It is rather worrying though. I am torn between doubling the guard and setting out the mantraps...
Perhaps both - just to be certain.

All sorts of witty and mildly cruel comments sprang to mind, but to be serious for a moment, I hope that all is well with the rubber chicken?
