... not to be confused with the other Red Devil out there. Only one letter difference turns joy into disaster. Tut-tut.

Innis & Gunn oak-matured pale ale. Brewed in Edinburgh, quaffed by the bucket in central Oslo.

A good pint of Guinness is a stalwart world-wide, though never the extra cold stuff. In Scotland, Deuchars IPA or Caledonian 80 shilling. Here in the States, Sam Adams seems to be my constant drinking buddy, espeially the Summer Ale at the moment.

Now that's my kind of beer!

Day-to-day I roam amongst Guinness, Newcastle, Fat Tire, and Red Trolley. Throw in some Sierra Nevada and Sam Adams varietals for, well, variety.

Absolute favorite, which I discovered during my first stay in Lostwithiel, Cornwall, is a "novelty" brew called Lostwithiale. I take a case of it when we leave town and finish it up during the balance of the trip

I love Guinness, but, in general, prefer snappy, hoppy ales. There are a bunch that I really like, but for years my overall fave has been Anderson Valley Brewing Co's Poleeko Gold. Not too heavy, just the right amount of hoppiness (though I also like super hoppy beers), always a good choice!
