    Ventura Seaside Games 2009

Well xmarks was well represented at the Ventura Games and lots of pictures were taken.
Shortly after I arrived off the train in Ventura I heard someone calling my name and was greeted by SoCalFerg and his bonnie partner Phyllis.

The xmarkers had a table together at the games dinner on Friday night.
In centre is OldSarge, on the left his wife Randa and on right Sydnie7

    Old Sarge, Sydnie7 and BigDad1.

    LAScotswoman greets xmarker Brave Andrew

Madelyn whom you may recall from an earlier photo thread when she visited Scotland in May 2009 called to say hello.

Thanks for the pictures Alex and the one you took for me!

There's a mistake in the Welsh on the sign. Wales is indeed Cymru but it mutates after i to Gymru. Good to see the Cornish flag flying also as I will be there towards the end of November.

    Brace yourselves. . .

Thanks for starting the thread, Alex! We were home and in bed by 9 p.m. Sunday, just now getting pics uploaded and ready to go.

Three people's luggage. . . three weeks in Europe or three days in Ventura???

Departing from the fabulous old Santa Fe station in downtown San Diego

Here's a better shot of those "headlight" chandeliers

No photography from the train as I spent the five hours knitting away on the new cable kilt hose -- will update that thread soon!

More to come here. . .

Friday night dinner (I coerced my brother-in-law, who was seated at the next table, into taking these shots)
Randa, Greg, myself, Bob, and the only glimpse you'll get of Andrew!

    Phyllis, Leslie, and Alex

Snapped this shot of Bob at the end of the evening (the jacket does close tighter)

Saturday outside the Donnachaidh tent -- my sister Mary, a kiltie-to-be named Michael whom I hope shows up at XMarks, Steve (Skyelander) and Bob
