 Texas Ren Fest 09, Fairy Weekend
Last Saturday (10/17/09) Was the Texas Renaissance Festival's "1001 Dreams" weekend, when all the fantasy creatures come out to play! We generally call it 'Fairy Weekend'.
Here's my fairy girltorage, Sandy, my wife Shelley, and Dolores. These girls make all their outfits BTW..
Shelley was the Texas Bluebonnet fairy.
1st show of the day, Circa Paleo.
We are members of a clan in renfair land, Clan McLotofus. Here's some shots from our meet-up;

Ah,...another great photo tour of the faire. The costumes sure have changed since the first faire I attended in 1973 in Northern California.

Thanks Highlander, We really had a lot of good photo ops that day!
I know what you mean about the costumes, I've been around TRF off and on for about 30 years, and the patrons costumes have changed a quite a bit, but I think for the better. While I always see a few "what were they thinking?" outfits during the day, I'm generally dazzled by the creativity, beauty and variety on display every year.
