    Mixing patterns

A while back there was a thread in which a side discussion developed about mixing patterns. I haven't been much for mixing patterns myself, but 2 years ago I bought one of the Jos A Bank Harris Tweed sportcoats in brown plaid. I wore it with solids only, until I found a hunting check sport shirt in just the right colors last year. Here is the grouping. Please feel free to comment or add your own outfit.

I think this tweed would make a fantastic kilt, by the way.

We wear shirts like that all the time over here, without a second thought about matching anything, when wearing the kilt in daytime.Nothing new there.

You see... There's this little, tiny Jock Scot in my head that says "now, don't get all wound up with this matching business," in his English accent, every time I come across one of these threads.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

With these voices you keep hearing, Ted, are you not a wee tad worried? I understand that there is a worrying medical condition that has voices in the head and I would hate to think that MoR and I might be responsible for it!

No, it's the little, tiny MOR, and little, tiny Jock Scot in my head that are responsible for the voices.

Add a claret-colored paisley tie to that, and you're golden!

    Sweet!

    Regards,
    Rex.
