As someone who wears the Cumming Hunting (ancient colours) myself, I must say I rather like his attire. I'm not sure I could pull it off, but it's nice to see our tartan in the news if nothing else.
I'll have to pass this along to the Clan Cumming Society newsletter.
Courage!

Splendid! I don't like the boots, though, but I think everything else is fine. Shades of Sir Nicholas Fairbairn.

I like everything about this outfit. I don't know that I would ever venture to try it. I'm glad he did. I even like the boots.

You know... I'm generally not a fan of much tartan above the waist, but this fellow doesn't look too bad.
...I would have worn brown shoes and a different color tie, though.
...well, in reality, I would have just worn a tartan kilt, left it at that, and looked rather boring.

Can't say I'd ever heard of this fellow, and normally I would have said a jacket, waistcoat and kilt all in the same tartan would be tartan overkill, but I must admit this looks very good, works well in this hunting tartan.

Well, last time Alan Cumming made an appearance in these pages, it might have been for his show on Broadway in which he wore a gold lamé kilt and waistcoat and, if I recall, might have been hung upside down during his entrance.
I have to say, this is a fair improvement.

Btw, is this the same as being knighted?
