    Vindicated

I wear a 3/4 coat houndstooth Harris tweed coat in the winter. I inherited it after my grandfather died. Tonight, as I was walking home, a guy on the street muttered "Nice job, check coat," as I walked by him. As I was too drunk to confront him, I just stewed on the utterance. But as I was almost home a very cute girl said "That's a nice coat."

I now have a date for Wednesday.

Good show. My motto is: don't get even, get ahead.

    You definitely got ahead.

And, whenever someone says something suggesting that a kilt is not manly, I simply offer a $100 bet that if he wears anything he likes and I wear me kilt, we'll go into any bar or pub he chooses, and the guy who gets the most women talking takes the pot.

I've never lost $100 on that bet!
