    Busineess with St. Kilda, anyone??

Just wondering if any XMarkers have done business with St. Kilda in Scotland? Any information would be appreciated.

I'm interested in a sale item, Brian Boru jacket/vest. Great price, so I hope it's of good quality. Thanks all!

If you mean St Kilda in the Canongate, Edinburgh then yes - aka Nicholson's.

I got my Muted Nicholson kilt from them - my only 9 yarder - excellent quality and value.

    Hi Den,

Yes, I've dealt with them in the last month. I bought an 'Officer' style sgian. They had the cheapest price. I found dealing with them no better or worse than dealing with any other on-line vendor.

There were two little niggles: first, was that the postage and packaging costs were only calculated at the very end (just before you press the pay now button). Other vendors seem to handle this aspect better.

Secondly, was their communications. They sent me 3 emails (3 more than most vendors)(my goods were being picked and packed; my goods were dispatched; my goods were in transit). This information I gleaned from the email title. The text body was written in Gibberish or Gobbledygook or Serbo-Croat with an Indo-Chinese accent. I emailed back and brought this to their attention and they replied within 2 hours. It seems it was a software package that they had bought to stop them having to write emails manually. They tell me it is now rectified.

I recieved my order 4 days after payment.

I would buy from them again.

    Regards

    Chas

Den, Which jacket, pray tell, did you choose? I was just on the web page after reading your post. I saw the tweed argyll and waistcoat on sale.

I checked it out. I found the following:

Tweed Argyll With 5 Button Waistcoat

    Item Code: VTW5V
    Old Cost: $390.04
    Now: $169.15

It's only available in Black, navy, or bottle green, but that's a pretty good price if the shipping doesn't kill you.

There were other deals as well, just nothing I needed.
