First Kilted Toddlers' Group
I'm off with H, my 2 year old boy, to playgroup kilted for the first time. Pray that the mums can keep composed! I've been working on my knitting there while H plays around, so I'm wearing my newly completed hose to show them off.

Best of luck.
My guess is some of the single mums will swoon when they see you in your kilt and hose.
Let us know how it goes.

Here we are! I decided to put H in his kilt too, any excuse right? Everyone loved it. I'd told people last week that I'd come along kilted as soon as I finished up that pair of hose, but I don't know if anyone really believed me until we showed up this morning. On a related note, H is nearly potty trained and went the whole morning without a nappy with no accidents. I wondered if he'd be confused with his kilt instead of trousers, since he hasn't worn it without a nappy before, but he did great.
After playgroup we went out to coffee and then took the bus up to Celtic Craft Centre to check on a tartan order. I'd like to think that my hand knitted hose were turning heads, but I doubt people were saying "Oh how cute!" about my legs. All in all, a great morning!

Ah, we did indeed make it, just got back a few minutes ago. I just posted an update with a pic, but I have to wait for moderation. I don't think there's anything indecent in there...

Well, my 21 month old daughter approves! She's sitting on my lap squealing "Kilt! Kilt!" and pointing at the picture. lol

what a great picture, thanks for that I think I'm going to buy a kilt for my son when I have to potty train him...

Thou shalt make thy son a kilt from thy leftover Harris tweed. And thou shalt post thy images here for all the Rabble to behold. And lo, they shall be very good, indeed.
