    Saffron Kilt from Pakistan

The postman called this morning with a parcel from Pakistan.

I had been on the lookout for a reasonably priced Saffron kilt for my collection for a while, this had seemed to offer the best value for money despite the cost of delivery from Pakistan. Kilt is labelled as 80% acrylic, 20%wool, and has a nice soft feel to the material.

I had waited just over a month since ordering this kilt. There is a generous quantity of pleats (I counted them as 32) and unlike some of the cheaper Pakistani kilts, this kilt has a proper stitched down fell. The pleats were protected in transit by basting strips, but even so, some creasing has occurred in carriage where the kilt was wrapped in a cellophane bag inside a jiffy bag.

    Another pleats shot.

Is that what saffron can look like? You look great, Alex, but that tone is not one I could carry off as well as you.

Congratulations on the new kilt Alex!

I'd like to see it with black shirt/jacket and hose. That makes a good combination with saffron.

Must be really warm there. All the snow is gone and you are wearing a shortsleeved shirt.

Still cold and snowy (but with bright blue skies the last two days) here in Bavaria.

Your second Irish kilt looks great, Alex! Was it made by "Geoffrey" by any chance? They tend to make the best-quality imported Highland gear

You look good Alex. If I wore that I would end up looking like an escapee from a pumpkin farm.

Looks good, Alex. I agree with Tom. A black shirt/jacket would look good with that kilt.

Yes, a tad bit too much orange I'd say. It looks like a beautiful kilt and you should highlight it with some contrasting colors. As is I think attention is drawn away from the kilt. Your orangeness would look good with a green kilt.
