Galician tartan
I recently and finally got a kilt in the closest thing I have to a family tartan. I think the name says it all. I thought I'd share it here, since I might be the only person in the world who's actually wearing it.
As I stated in another thread, I wasn't sleeping. I was listening to a young Galician band and was taken by one particular piece they were playing. This was at a fantastic festival of music of the various Celtic nations, sponsored by the local Breton community for the ancient Celtic of Imbec.
To my left you can see our own Bonnie Heather, Scottish dancer and kiltmaker.

Galician-Great pics, it looks like everyone was having a great time! I too like to listen to music with me eyes closed, it helps me to visualize what is taking place in the song especially if they are singing about an area or an event.

Congratulations on you new kilt. It was worth the wait!
That festival looks like a great event; I can almost hear the music just looking at the pictures.

That's a lovely tartan. I do like the ones that lend themselves to brown leather.

I know of an Army colonel who also wears a kilt in the Galician tartan, so you're not quite alone...

Thanks all. I wanted the tartan but had not been thrilled by how it looked in a swatch I saw. When it arrived, though, it was awesome!

Sorry, I have no idea. I don't think I was offered the choice of sett or stripe. It was made by the Scotweb Kilt Store, one of the advertisers on here
