When is International Kilt Wearing Day?

the link for kiltday.com is dead for me, and I am finding different dates from other different sources. Seems like it's in Feb-April (cold whenever it is). Does anyone have a definitive date?

kiltday had it set for being everyday, beyond that I know the list included

st pat's day : mar 17
national tartan day : april 6

The link for Kiltday always proclaimed the current date as "Kilt Day" on the premise that every day is Kilt Day.

There is no "International Kilt-wearing Day" although different countries have their respective Tartan Days.

I remember how I got caught out by that site the first time I visited it!

To have such a day would be a great idea but how to get it internationally agreed and publicised is perhaps not so easy.

Eh, just make up a date, claim that it was by international agreement, and start a chain email. Those things are virtually always accepted as truth, circulated for years by people who can't stop forwarding email to their entire address book, and eventually they reach the entire world. Give it a try; your great-grandchildren may one day be forwarding the same email.

I wrote the tartanday contact and asked if they were doing anything this year? The web site has not been updated since 2009. So far, this has only been a USA mid-Atlantic states cities festival, but that could spread!
